Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) Firearms Facility License TFF 1328 and Instructor License TIF 2145, Baton Facility License TIB 1423 and Baton Instructor License TIB 2050

We offer NRA Training in: Basic Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun and CCW training and are certified as a Chief Range Safety Officer

We conduct BSIS TRAINING: Initial Guard Card Training, Initial security Firearms Training, Chemical Agent Training, Baton Training, including bi-annual renewal, and Bi-annual Re-Qualifications for firearms permit holders.

We also teach Use of Force elements and how to pass the "BSIS Personal Firearms Assessment" Exam so you can apply for your Firearms Permit.

CADOJ certified for Firearms Safety Card (FSC) training and Carrying a Concealed Weapon (CCW) training

NRA CLASSES

los Angeles Loss Prevention offers National Rifle Association (NRA) classes to the Public and Security Officers.


Peter G. Hilton JD, Owner and Chief Instructor of Los Angeles Loss Prevention (Established in 1985), is certified by the NRA to teach Basic Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun, CCW and Range Safety Officer classes. 

Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS)  to teach Firearms and baton Courses and Security Officer Skills courses.

 California Department of Justice (CADOJ) Firearms Safety Classes and CCW Classes.  

 

NRA AND BSIS CLASSES OVERVIEW

Security Officers are regulated by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) in California, and any person who works as a Security Guard/Officer must have undergone "Recomended and Mandatory" training prior to being hired by a "School" and a "Church/Religious" Location to provide Security Services. This includes "Contract and In House (propriety) Security" NRA CLASSES CANNOT BE SUSTITUTED FOR THE BSIS TRAINING, BUT CAN BE USED TO SHOW THE INITIAL OR SUPPLEMENTAL TRAINING NOT COVERED BY THE BSIS TRAINING SYSTEM AND PROCESS

BSIS Mandates Security Training which must be conducted through a Specific BSIS Licensed Firearms Training Facility or and approved Baton Training Facility authorised to teach Private Security Initial, Renewal, Security officer Skills program and Continuing Education class related training.

Los Angeles Loss Prevention (LALP) is a Licened BSIS Firearms and Baton Facility, in addition, we are approved by the NRA a Firearms Instructors, and the CADOJ for "Firearms Safety Card and CCW" Instruction.

Basic pistol 8 hours - $125.00 (Veterans $95.00)

Basic Rifle 8 hours $125.00(Veterans $95.00)

Basic Shotgun 8 hours $125.00(Veterans $95.00)

CCW 4 to 16 Hours. Prices vary based upon Law Enforcement Jurisdiction Requirement for permit

The purpose of the SPECIAL PRICING training, is to invite Veterans applicants to participate in The BSIS Initial Guard Training (8 Hours) and Exposed Initial Firearms Class 14 Hours

Total 22 Hours of Training

If you have a Veteran Family member, Friend or Colleague who is interested in entering the employment as a Security Guard, This is a great Starter Training for them. They can get their Guard Card Training, Firearms Training for the low price of $175.00.

Special BSIS Firearms Class added for our Veterans, who will receive added savings on courses below in a Special Training Package in, 2026, Tuesday, special pricing for THIS DAY $175.00.  .

Other Non Veteran Applicants can also attend Firearms class for the Price of $225.00, However, If you do not have a Guard Card, The Firearms Class, includes the Guard Card Training Free with payment for the FA Class.

If you do not have a Guard Card, this course offers Free Basic Guard Card Training (8 Hours) included with the price to Veterans, A further $65.00 saving and Chemical Agent Training (4 Hours) another $65.00 saving.

In total for the low cost of $175.00 Veterans get:

1. Firearms Training 14 Hours ( Normally $225.00)

2. Guard Card ( If you do not have one) (8 Hours, Normally $65.00)

3. Chemical Agent Training (4 Hours, Normally $65.00)

NRA FIREARMS CLASSES FOR VETERANS AT REDUCED PRICES

NRA RANGE SAFETY OFFiCER (RSO) CLASS 9 HOURS

This class certifies you to work at a range as a Range Safety Officer (RSO). A NRA credentials is recognised Nationwide. You can start earning over $25.00 per hour working for a Range as an RSO

The class is 9 hours and includes three (3) opportunities to voluntary work at a range and put your training into practice as an RSO and is inlcuded in the Fee. This gives you the opportunity to learn valuble elements of the work.
